You can use all the functions of the multi‐
media system with the mobile phone in
the foreground.

You can receive incoming calls and mes‐
sages with the mobile phone in the back‐
ground.
You can interchange the mobile phone in
the foreground and background.
Connecting a mobile phone

Authorization follows using secure simple pair‐
ing.

Information on the Mercedes-Benz emer‐
gency call system
Your vehicle is equipped with the Mercedes-Benz
emergency call system ("eCall"). This feature can
help save lives in the event of an accident. eCall
in no way replaces assistance provided from
dialing 911.
Mercedes-Benz eCall only functions in areas
where mobile phone coverage is available from
the wireless service providers. Insufficient net‐
work coverage from the wireless service provid‐
ers may result in an emergency call not being
transmitted.
