Cleaning and Care of the Vehicle
Upholstery
Leather: Wipe leather upholstery
with a damp cloth and dry th o r
oughly. Exercise particular care
when cleaning perforated leather as
its underside should not become
wet.
Velours: Pressure marks resulting
from dampness and heat may ap
pear to be stains. Such marks can be
removed by w iping with a moistened
brush, ironing w ith a wet cloth or by
treating with a dry shampoo. Do not
sit on damp upholstery. Quick dry
ing is achieved by applying hot air —
fo r example, by using a hair dryer.
If in doubt, please consult your
MERCEDES-BENZ service station.
Paintwork
Do not apply wax if your car is park
ed in the sun or if the hood is still
hot. For maximum protection, the
paintwork should be waxed a pproxi
mately once every three months. Use
the appropriate MERCEDES-BENZ
Touch-Up Stick fo r quick and pro
visional repairs of m inor paint dam
age.
Light Alloy Wheels
If possible, clean wheels once a
week with lukewarm water and auto
shampoo. Use an ample supply of
water.
To remove stubborn marks, use p ol
ish or paint cleaner and apply with
buffing cloth or a soft cloth.
Ornamental Moldings (Chrome-
Plated, Aluminum)
For regular cleaning and care of very
dirty chrome-plated parts, use a
chrome cleaner.
