A ir C o nd itio n in g System
The tem perature inside the vehicle
can be lowered by means of the air
I
conditioning system. W hen tem per
ature sw itch 8 is sw itched on, the
air is passed over an evaporator
and is thus cooled and dehydrated
at the same tim e.
The air is circulated by a blow er
and may be distributed according
to preference by means of the
ventilation system controls.
The air conditioning system is oper
ative only w hen the engine is run
ning. High engine speed produces
a high refrigerant compressor
speed w hich in tu rn means in
creased cooling.
8 Tem perature sw itch. S w itch on
by turning to the right. The
cooling effe ct is increased up
to the stop. A fte r 2/ 3 o f the
sw itch travel, the system
changes over from fresh air
cooling to circulation air cooling
w ith a small proportion o f
fresh air.
The blow er (sw itch 1) m ust
then be sw itched on. W e re
com m end selecting a higher
blow er speed fo r increased
cooling effect.
By pulling the tem perature
sw itch cooled air may also be
passed to the fo otw e ll.
