Spare Parts Service
Engine Oil C hange and
Filter Change
To be carried out every 3,000 m i­
les (5,000 km), but at least tw ice
a year (in spring and fall).
Under severe operating conditions
or if diesel fuels w ith high sulphur
co nte nt (in excess of 0.5 % by
w eig ht) are used, the oil should be
changed every 1,500 miles
(2,500 km). It is not m andatory
to change the filte r at this oil
change.
For regular oil level checks, refer to
"Checking Fuels, Coolants, Lubri­
cants, etc.".
A u to m a tic Transm ission —
Fluid and Filter Change
To be carried out every 37,500
miles (60,000 km ) according to the
maintenance booklet.
Under severe operating conditions,
have the autom atic transm ission
flu id changed every 12,500 miles
(20,000 km) w ith o u t filte r change.

stations store the MERCEDES-
BENZ original spare parts required
fo r m aintenance and repair w ork.
In addition, depots are provided all
over the globe intended to ensure
the rapid supply o f MERCEDES-
BENZ original spare parts.
M ore than 200,000 differen t spare
parts, even fo r rather old vehicle
models, are fu rtherm ore stocked
in the central plant warehouses.

e fficiency and reliability as well as
o ptim um retention o f the vehicle
value w hen MERCEDES-BENZ o rig ­
inal spare parts are installed, as
th ey are subjected to m ost severe
quality inspections. Each part has
been specifically developed, m anu­
factured or selected fo r and
adapted to MERCEDES-BENZ
vehicles.
For this reason, only MERCEDES-
BENZ original spare parts should
be installed.
