Infant and Child Restraint Systems
Important!
Warning!
Mercedes-Benz of North America
recommends that all infants and chil
dren be restrained at all times while the
vehicle is in motion.
The use of infant or child restraints is
required by law in most states.
Infants and children should be seated
in a properly secured restraint system
that complies with U.S. Federal Motor
Vehicle Safety Standard 213. A state
ment by the seat manufacturer of com
pliance with this standard can be found
on the instruction label on the restraint
and in the instruction manual provided
with the restraint.
When using any infant or child restraint
system, be sure to carefully read and
follow all manufacturer’s instructions
on installation and use.
Infants and small children should
never be held on the lap, nor should
they share a seat belt with another
occupant while the vehicle is in
motion.
This vehicle is equipped with tether
anchorages for use with child restraints
that have a top tether strap. Consult
your local dealer for the exact location
of these anchorages.
