Parameter setting
The appliance is set at the factory for heating to 100°C, with no warming or delayed heating. Press
to
switch to setting of the next parameter. The icon for the relevant function parameter lights up.
The temperature for heating can be set from 40 to 100°C in steps of 5°C.
The temperature for keeping warm can be set from 40 to 90°C in steps of 5°C. The warming time can be set
to a maximum of 30 minutes. This parameter can be set to 0 if no warming is required. The warming
temperature should be set lower than the heating temperature, otherwise the appliance will adjust the
warming temperature.
Delayed heating can be set from 3 to 6 seconds. This setting is only active at a heating temperature over
95°C.
Clean the appliance before using it for the first time.
1.
Open the lid, fill with water, and close the lid.
Fill the kettle to between the maximum and minimum markings shown on the outside. Too little water
can damage the heating element, and too much water can cause the water to boil over.
2.
Place the kettle on the base. Turn the spout away from you.
3.
Plug in the power cord. Press the button for the required function on the control panel. The
corresponding function icon lights up and the appliance is activated. The set water temperature is
shown on the display.
NOTE!
Check that the power switch is not blocked and that the lid is properly closed, otherwise the
appliance will not switch off when the set temperature/time is reached.
4.
Lift the kettle off the base and pour out the water.
NOTE!
The active function is cancelled when the kettle is lifted off the base. The required function must be
reset if the heating or warming is to continue. Handle the kettle with care and do not open the lid when it is
hot – risk of scalding.
5.
Always unplug the power cord when the appliance is not in use. The kettle can be stored on the base.
NOTE!
Unplug the power cord when the appliance is not in use.
6.
Repeat several times.
MAINTENANCE
1.
Always switch off the appliance, unplug the power cord, and allow to cool completely, before cleaning.
2.
Never immerse the power cord, plug or the base in water or any other liquid – risk of electric shock.
3.
Clean the appliance with a soft cloth. Do not use abrasive agents.
4.
Descale the appliance when necessary. How often descaling is required depends on the hardness of
the water and how often the appliance is used.
5.
Never attempt to dismantle the kettle or the base. The appliance does not contain any parts that can
be repaired by the user. Do not attempt to repair the product yourself. Return it to an authorised
service centre.
Boil-dry protection
The boil-dry protection switches off the appliance if it is switched on without any water in it. If the boil-dry
protection is tripped, allow the appliance to cool and then fill with cold water and boil up.
