TROUBLESHOOTING
Problem
Possible cause
Action
The induction hob will not
start.
Not supplied with power.
Check that the plug is plugged in and
that the power point is supplied with
voltage.
Check that the mains fuse has not
tripped, or that there is a power cut in
the area. Contact qualified personnel
if this does not solve the problem.
Nothing happens when
pressing the control panel.
The control panel is locked.
Unlock the control panel according to
the instructions.
The control panel is slow
to respond.
Water on the control panel or
fingertip used to press.
Check that the control panel is dry
and press with the pulp of the finger
and not the tip.
The glass is scratched.
Pan with sharp edges.
Use pans with flat, smooth bottoms.
Cleaning with unsuitable
(abrasive) agent.
See the instructions for cleaning and
maintenance.
Some pans make a
clicking noise.
This is because they consist of
different layers of metal, on
which the magnetic field has
different effects.
This is quite normal.
A faint humming noise is
produced at full power.
It is a result of the compo-
nents in the induction hob.
This is quite normal. The noise gets
weaker or stops when the heat is
turned down.
Fan noise from the
induction hob.
The induction hob has an
internal cooling fan that
counteracts overheating of
the electronic components.
The fan can continue to
run after the hob has been
switched off.
This is normal. Do not pull out the
plug until the fan has stopped.
The pan does not get
hot and is shown in the
display.
The pan is not suitable to use
on an induction hob, which
cannot detect it.
Use pans intended to be used on an
induction hob. See instructions for
choice of pans.
The pan is too small or not
centred on the hob so that it
cannot be detected.
Centre the pan on the hob and check
that the bottom diameter matches
the diameter of the hob.
The induction hob
switches off unexpectedly,
an audio prompt is given,
and an error code is show
in the display.
Technical fault.
Make a note of the code, pull out the
plug and contact qualified personnel.
