– Check the microwave at
regular intervals when
heating food in plastic or
paper packaging, in case
it catches fire.
• Use utensils with wide
openings to heat up liquids.
Do not take out the hot
liquid immediately after
heating it up. Wait a few
minutes before taking out
the liquid, otherwise there is
a risk of the liquid suddenly
expanding.
• Potatoes, sausages,
chestnuts and other similar
items should be peeled or
pricked before cooking. Eggs
with shells and hard-boiled
eggs must not be heated up
in the microwave oven,
because they can explode
even after they have been
taken out.
• The contents of feeding
bottles and baby food jars
should be shaken or stirred
before serving. Check the
temperature to avoid burns.
SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
• Check that the mains voltage
corresponds to the rated
voltage on the type plate.
The plug must be plugged
into a correctly installed
earthed power point.
• Pay attention to the
following to reduce the risk
of fire.
– Do not cook the food for
too long.
– Remove bag sealers from
paper and plastic bags
before they are put in the
microwave oven.
– Do not heat up oil or fat
for deep-frying, it is not
possible to control the
temperature of the oil or
fat.
– Wipe off any scraps of
food and splashing from
the waveguide guard
with a damp cloth after
use. Wipe dry with a dry
cloth. Accumulated fat
can overheat and start to
smoke or burn.
– Keep the door closed if
anything in the
microwave oven starts to
smoke or burn, switch off
