Updating Firmware 

When you buy the switch, it comes with the latest firmware burned on the board. All firmware 
updates should be done through the management software. Go to the Mellanox Website and con-
firm that the firmware is the latest. If not reburn the latest firmware from the download site. New 
firmware versions will be posted on the Mellanox firmware download page:

http://www.mellanox.com

You will also need to download and unzip the firmware binary image. This is provided in the 
Mellanox Web site at: 

http://www.mellanox.com 

> Support > Firmware Download and go to the 

SwitchX® Switch systems. Click in the Table for the firmware image that you need. 

Be sure to read and follow all of the instructions regarding the updating of the firmware on your 
switch system. Firmware for the HCA cards connected to this switch system can be downloaded 
from the same site.
