12.3 cleaning the cappuccinatore
We recommend that you clean the Cappuccinatore once a week with the milk
system cleaning agent from Melitta
®
for fully automatic coffee makers.
Proceed as described on page 61 under „Rinsing the Cappuccinatore“ and use
the milk cleaner solution instead of clear water.
• Always clean the Cappuccinatore immediately after use if it has been
used to heat or froth milk.
• Wait until the Cappuccinatore has cooled down and wipe it on the
outside with a damp cloth.
• For thorough daily cleaning, pull the Cappuccinatore (Fig.

of the steam pipe (Fig.

) and take it apart (Fig.

).
• To do so, remove the milk hose, the milk froth / hot water nozzle (Fig.

) and the air intake pipe (Fig.

• Rinse all of the parts under running water. Clean the air intake pipe
especially well.
• Put the Cappuccinatore back together in the reverse order.
