SPECIAL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
•
Always place the appliance on a dry, level,
firm and heat-resistant surface well away
from any edges.
• Always place the appliance at a safe
distance from flammable objects such as
curtains, tablecloths or similar.
• The appliance must not be placed or
stored near other sources of heat.
• Do not cover.
• Steam can form from the appliance during
use.
• Please note that the appliance will remain
hot for a while after you switch it off.
Always allow the appliance to cool down
completely before storage.
BEFORE USE
Before initial use, the appliance should be pre-
heated for 10 minutes with the lid closed. This
will remove the smell typically encountered
when first switching on an appliance. Please
ensure sufficient ventilation.

USE
1. Close the lid and turn the thermostat but-
ton (1) to the maximum setting. Plug in.
The red indicator lamp (2) will stay lit as
long as the appliance is on.
2. Allow the appliance to heat up for around
8 minutes. The green indicator lights (3, 5)
go off when the appliance is ready to use.
3. Open the lid. Grease the hotplates with
a little cooking oil, oil spray, margarine or
butter before use.
4. Turn the thermostat button to the middle
setting when using the appliance for the
first time. You can then increase or de-
crease the temperature depending on how
brown and crisp you want your waffles to
be.
5. Pour about 180-240 ml of batter onto the
lower hotplate, and if necessary, spread
the batter into all corners with a rubber
spatula or the like. The batter should just
cover the protuberances on the hotplate.
