The first time the tigelliera is switched on, it is important to run the unit:
A. Without food between the two stones
B. At the highest temperature (position 3)
C. In a dry and well ventilated place
D. For 30/40 minutes
- Make sure that there are no inflammable items close to the tigelliera, and keep it
out of reach of children and incapable persons.
- During the first few minutes of operation, processing residues, mainly fats and
oils, will evaporate producing an unpleasant smell. After about 30 minutes the smell
should disappear and the tigelliera is ready for use.
1. Make sure the surface where the appliance will be used is heatproof: while in use, do not
put the tigelliera on a plastic laminated surface, wood, cardboard and glass.
2. Do not put the power cord above or under the appliance, until the surfaces have
completely cooled down.
3. Do not put any object on the appliance when it is working.
If the appliance is covered during operation, the normal air circulation can be hindered
and/or if it comes in contact with inflammable materials (including curtains, fabrics, walls,
etc…), fire can develop. Also food cooked with the appliance can burn and cause fire to
develop after an extended cooking time.
4. When using the appliance, leave at least 10 cm of space around it so as to help air
circulation.
5. Do not store the appliance before it has completely cooled down.
- Never touch the cooking surface when the appliance is in operation and, even
when the appliance has been switched off, until the surface is still hot.
- Always check that the appliance has been unplugged from the socket before
cleaning it.
- Do not use any cleansing agent to clean the cooking surface and do not pour
cold water on the plates, if they are still hot, to avoid a possible breaking caused
by a thermal shock.
- Do not immerse the appliance in water to avoid damaging the electrical system.
