with these instructions, taking into
account the working conditions and
the work to be performed.
Use of
the power tool for operations different
from those intended could result in a
hazardous situation.
Service
•
Have your power tool serviced by a
qualified repair person using only
identical replacement parts.
This
will ensure that the safety of the
power tool is maintained.
6 – Safety instructions
relating specifically to
the equipment
• Change blades and adjust the saw
shoe only with the power plug pulled.
• Use only the integrated holder to
attach the adjustment key.
• The saw blade must be locked in place
absolutely firmly in the holder. Check
intermittently to ensure a tight fit.
• The saw shoe must lie flat on the
entire surface.
• Dust that is hazardous to health can
arise when sawing asbestos cement.
Comply with legal regulations and
manufacturer’s recommendations.
• Guide the device with both hands.
• To avoid hazards, damaged power
leads must be replaced by the
manufacturer or his customer service
representative.
7 – Installation and setting
Electronic stroke rate control/stroke
rate preselection
For sawing to suit the
material, a suitable
stroke rate from 1-6
(500–3000 min
-1
) can be set using the
adjustment wheel (2) (Fig. 6) and
controlled with the On/Off switch. The
adjustment wheel also serves for
continuous adjustment of the stroke rate
during operation.
Oscillation
The adjustable oscillating
motion (P) (Fig. 7) of the saw
blade (I for hard materials to IV
for soft materials), in combination with
the stroke rate suitable for the material
(H), improves the compatibility of the
machine with the respective material. At
the same time, this protects the saw
blade, improves chip discharge, and
heavily reduces the generation of
friction heat.
Inserting the saw blade
CAUTION! Pull the power plug.
Loosen the two holding screws
on the saw blade holder using
the adjustment key (Fig. 2).
Insert the saw blade into the holding
groove until it stops, so that the back fits
firmly in the groove of the guide roller.
Retighten the holding screws. The
universal saw blade holder fits the shaft
of all prevalent jig saw blades.
