Working with a lifted vehicle

Working near a lifted vehicle is dangerous. Never move the jack while it is supporting a
vehicle. Avoid working under a lifted vehicle or placing any part of your body beneath it.
Keep in mind torque forces when loosening bolts or nuts for example, as a sudden move
could cause the vehicle to drop from the jack stands. Do not try to start a lifted vehicle.

If the jack breaks down or gets stuck while the vehicle is supported, properly positioned
jack stands are strong enough to support the vehicle. In this case replace the jack with
another jack, remove the faulty jack and lower the vehicle using extreme caution. Do not
use the faulty jack until it has been repaired.
Lowering the vehicle
ATTENTION! Before lowering the vehicle, make sure the area under and near the vehicle is
clear of all persons and objects.

Remove the jack stands and move them away from the vehicle.
2.
Turn the handle SLOWLY counter-clockwise, until the jack starts to lower.
3.
Lower the jack slowly as a too fast drop can damage the vehicle.
MAINTENANCE
Monthly maintenance is recommended. The following instructions are designed to keep the
jack maintained and operational.

Lubricate the ram, linkages, saddle and pump mechanism with light machine oil.

Visually inspect for cracked welds, damages, bent, loose or missing parts and hydraulic
oil leaks.

If the jack is subjected to abnormal load or shock, or is found damaged or worn in any
way, it must be immediately removed from service until repaired by an authorized ser-
vice center. Repair may require specialized equipment and knowledge, so it must only be
carried out by an authorized service center, using original spare parts only.

Keep the jack clean and prevent foreign matter such as sand, grit and dirt from entering
the system.

Clean all surfaces and maintain all labels and warnings in good condition and legible.

Check and maintain the ram oil level (recommended oil SAE 10).

Check ram every three months for any signs of rust or corrosion. Clean as needed and
wipe with an oily cloth.

When not in use, always leave the saddle and ram all the way down.

Always store the jack in fully lowered position and lower the handle. This will protect the
hydraulic cylinder and ram from corrosion.

Store the jack in a clean and dry place where it will not be exposed to corrosive vapours,
abrasive dust or any other harmful elements.

Annual inspection of the jack is recommended in an authorized service center to ensure
the jack is in optimal working condition.
Checking the oil level
1.
Open the pressure valve and fully lower the handle.
2.
Replace the oil fill plug. The oil should be level with the bottom of the filling hole. If not,
refill. Do not overfill. Always fill with new, clean hydraulic jack oil (SAE 10). Never use
brake or transmission fluids, alcohol or regular motor oil. Make sure that the hydraulic
oil does not contact eyes or skin. If hydraulic oil contacts eyes, flush with plenty of water
