Use of the cross-cutting jig (fig. 15)
Insert the cross-cutting jig in the slot in the top
of the saw bench.
Loosen the locking handle on the cross-cutting
jig.
Turn the cross-cutting jig to the required angle.
Tighten the locking handle.
In order to move the stop, remove the two
plastic nuts on the stop, move the stop to the
other side and tighten the plastic nuts.
Changing the saw blade (fig. 16.1–16.2)
WARNING:
Switch off the tool and unplug the power
cord before performing maintenance and making
adjustments and before changing the saw blade.
Always wear protective gloves when handling saw
blades.
1.
Release the saw blade lock (12) and turn the
height adjustment knob until the saw blade is in
its uppermost position.
2.
Remove the saw blade guard (6).
3.
Loosen the four Phillips screws.
4.
Remove the saw bench insert (21).
5.
Lock the shaft with a screwdriver (g) (not
included).
6.
Loosen the saw blade screw by turning it
clockwise (right-hand thread) with a 24 mm
wrench (h) (not included).
7.
Remove the outer flange and remove the saw
blade.
8.
Clean the two flanges carefully before mounting
the new saw blade.
9.
Follow the instructions above in reverse order
to fit and secure the new saw blade.
IMPORTANT!
Fit the saw blade in the right direction
of rotation. The cutting edge on the teeth should point
forwards in the direction of rotation (see the arrow on
the saw blade).
1. Replace the splitting knife and adjust it
correctly. Replace the saw blade guard.
2.
Replace the saw bench insert.
3.
Always check that all protective and safety
devices are fitted and working correctly before
using the tool. IMPORTANT! Turn the saw
blade by hand to check that it rotates freely
before using the tool.
4.
Plug in the power cord and let the tool idle for a
while before you begin cutting.
