Setting the laser beam direction (fig.
12.1–12.2)
To set the laser beam's direction, you need
a rectangular solid (the angles must be
exactly square) piece of wood, about 100
mm wide and 300 mm long. Draw a marker
line parallel to one of the long sides, about
10 mm from the edge.
Set the cross-cutting jig (13) to 0°
(perpendicular to the saw blade) and keep
the short side of the rectangular solid tightly
against the cross-cutting jig.
Slide the rectangular solid, so that it slides
against cross-cutting jig’s fence, until the
teeth of the saw blade touch the marker line.
Activate the laser with its power switch (fig.
12.1).
In order to set the direction of the laser
beam you must remove the laser unit's two
set screws (fig. 12.2).
Turn the laser unit sideways until the laser
beam is set according to the marker line on
rectangular solid.
Note:
You may then need
to set the laser beam so that it runs along
either side of or in the middle of the cutting
line.
Tighten the laser’s set screws (2).
Check the setting and fine tune, if
necessary.
OPERATION
Follow all the safety instructions.
IMPORTANT!
All covers and safety devices must be installed before starting the tool. Connect the dust
extraction system before starting the tool. The dust extraction cover must be folded down over the blade
when sawing. Remove the dust extraction cover when cutting grooves. Install the dust extraction cover
immediately once this task has been completed.
The saw blade must be adjusted to that its highest point is slightly higher than the upper edge of the
workpiece.
All covers and safety devices must be installed before turning on the tool. Check that the saw blade and
other moving parts are correctly installed and can move freely. Remove any nails, screws and other metal
objects from the workpiece before sawing. Check that the saw blade and other moving parts are installed
correctly and can move freely before you plug in the power cord.
WARNING:
Adjustments may only be carried out by qualified personnel.
