Installation of the splitting knife and
laser unit (fig. 5.1–5.2)
Remove the saw bench insert’s 4 screws
(12) and remove the saw table insert.
Place the saw blade in its highest position
using the height adjustment knob (14).
Loosen the screw (a) of the splitting knife
clamp and position the splitting knife
between the metal plate and plastic
clamping block.
Adjust the height of the splitting knife so that
the gap between the saw blade and splitting
knife is constant all the way along the
curved edge of the splitting knife. At most
the gap may be 5 mm.
Tighten the screw (a) to lock the splitting
knife in this position.
Replace the saw bench insert (9).
Assembling and dismantling the saw
blade guard (fig. 6)
To remove the saw blade guard (6), loosen
the nut and screw and then pull off the
guard.
To replace the saw blade guard (6), place it
over the splitting knife (5) and fit the screw in
the splitting knife’s slot.
Adjust the saw blade guard so that the
screw fits in the lower part of the slot.
Tighten the nut firmly. The saw blade guard
must rest on the saw bench (2) surface, lift
when a workpiece is pressed against the
saw blade. Note: When the workpiece has
been cut, the saw blade guard must drop
back to its resting position.
Connect the hose (7) between saw blade
guard’s (6) outlet and one of extraction
nozzles (18). A fastening clip is supplied.
The other nozzle (18) can be connected to a
suitable extraction system or to a normal
vacuum cleaner.
IMPORTANT!
The saw blade guard (14) must
always be in its working mode, so that you cannot
touch the saw blade. The guard should follow the
workpiece during cutting.
