IMPORTANT:
Keep hold of the starter handle when the cord pulls in after starting. If the cord is pulled in too quickly the
starter handle could cause personal injury and/or material damage. Wear safety gloves.
Connecting equipment
The equipment to be supplied with voltage must be connected to the (3/4) AC outlet.
IMPORTANT:
The machine must not be connected to the electrical system in a building or the equivalent, this
could damage the machine and/or other electrical equipment.
NOTE:
Some power tools consume more power at higher loads.
Switching off
Allow the machine to run with no load and without any equipment connected for a few minutes
before switching it off.
Put the power switch (12) in the O position.
Close the fuel cock.
MAINTENANCE
Switch off the engine, release the spark plug lead from the spark plug and allow the machine to cool
before cleaning and/or maintenance.
IMPORTANT:
Switch off the machine immediately and contact your dealer if any of the following should
occur.
The machine vibrates abnormally and/or makes a lot of noise.
The engine seems overloaded or misfires.
Cleaning
Keep safety devices, ventilation openings and the engine housing free from dust and dirt. Wipe
clean with a cloth or blow clean using compressed air at low pressure.
We recommend cleaning the machine immediately every time it has been used.
Clean the machine at regular intervals with a cloth moistened with water and a mild detergent. Do
not use strong detergents or solvents, they can damage the plastic parts on the machine. Make
sure that water does not penetrate into the machine.
Air filter
1.
Clean the air filter regularly and replace if necessary.
2.
Open both clips and remove the air filter cover.
3.
Remove the air filter unit.
4.
Do not use solvents or abrasive detergents to clean the unit.
5.
Clean the unit by tapping it against a flat surface. Clean if necessary med water and a mild
detergent, rinse with clean water och allow to dry.
6.
Fit in the reverse order.
Spark plug
Check the spark plug (11) after 20 hours of operation. Clean with a wire brush, if necessary. Check the
spark plug at intervals of 50 hours of operation, and clean if necessary.
1.
Release the spark plug lead from the spark plug.
2.
Remove the spark plug with a spark plug spanner.
3.
Fit in the reverse order.
Changing the oil and checking the oil level
The engine should be warm when changing the oil.
1.
Only use the correct type of engine oil (15 W 40, <0°C: 5 W 30).
2.
Place the machine on a slightly sloping surface with the oil drain plug at the bottom.
3.
Open the oil fill plug (15).
4.
Open the oil drain plug (16) and allow the hot oil to run out into a suitable container.
5.
Replace the oil drain plug place the machine on a horizontal surface.
6.
Fill with recommended engine oil to the upper marking on the dipstick.
