Oil level inspection
IMPORTANT!
The engine is supplied without oil. Fill with 1,0 l oil and check the oil level
prior to starting the engine. Do not run the engine with insufficient oil – risk of serious
engine damage. The warranty does not cover damage resulting from the engine being run
with too little oil.
NOTE!
Check the engine’s oil level on a flat surface with the engine turned off.
1.
Remove the oil filler cap with the dipstick
and wipe the dipstick.
2.
Refit the filler cap with the dipstick without
tightening.
3.
Remove the oil filler cap with the dipstick
again. Top up the oil if the level is too low.
The correct viscosity and oil volume are set
out in the engine maintenance section.
NOTE!
Do not overfill. This can cause the engine
to smoke, be difficult to start or cause soot on the
spark plug.
4.
Refit the filler cap with the dipstick and
tighten before starting the engine.
NOTE!
Fill so that the level is between the
minimum and the maximum marks.
