USE
IMPORTANT:
• Keep your hands away from moving parts.
• Do not force the product. Do not feed in
the workpiece with such force that the
speed of the motor drops, or the motor
stops completely – this damages the
motor and considerably reduces its life
span.
• Planer heads lasts longer if only high
quality wood is used.
• The maximum planing depth (3 mm for
surface planing and 2 mm for thickness
planing) should only be used in soft
wood.
SURFACE PLANING
Fit the dust extraction funnel and check that
it engages with the safety switch. Set the
planing depth with the adjusting knob.
The infeed table (6) goes up/down when
the knob is turned.
FIG. 19
FIG. 20
• Turn the knob (5) clockwise to reduce the
planing depth and anticlockwise to
increase.
• An arrow (29) points to the set planing
depth on the scale (30).
Adjusting the fence
• Turn the lock handle (31) to set the angle
of the fence anticlockwise to release the
fence.
• Move the fence to the required angle.
The set angle is shown on the scale on
the scale (32).
• Tighten the lock handle (31) to lock the
fence.
FIG. 21
NOTE: There are stop lugs at 45° and 90° to
simplify adjusting the fence at these angles.
Adjusting cutter guard
• Release the knob (10) for the cutter guard
and push back the guard (9) as far as it
goes.
• Place the workpiece flush against the
fence.
• Push the cutter guard (9) towards the
workpiece (leaving a gap of a few
millimetres between the guard and the
workpiece).
