• Clear a path in the middle of the area to
be cleared first. Turn round at the end
and run back in an overlapping path.
• If possible eject in the same direction as
the wind to avoid the snow blowing the
wrong way.
• Always release the drive lever before
changing the speed or the direction of
the ejector.
5. If the snow is deeper than the height
of the auger housing, clear in several
narrower paths. Drive at slower speed in
overlapping paths. For best results, clear
the snow before it thaws or freezes. Wet
or packed snow can be very difficult to
clear. Heavy, wet snow can be difficult or
impossible to clear with the snowblower.
Wet snow fastens more easily in the auger
and ejector. If possible avoid stopping the
auger when clearing wet snow, to reduce
the risk of blockage.
Function check of auger lever
1. When the auger lever is in neutral (up)
there should be very little play in the wire,
but it must not be overtightened.
2. Stand in the driving position behind the
handle and engage the auger by pressing
down the auger lever on the left side of
the handle.
3. Allow the auger to remain engaged for
about 10 seconds and then release the
auger lever. Repeat several times.
4. Allow the engine to run with the auger
lever in neutral. Go round in front of the
snowblower.
5. Check that the auger has completely stopped.
6. Start the auger and check that it engages
and disengages correctly.
IMPORTANT:
• Go back to the driving position
immediately if auger starts to move and
slowly until it catches and then pull
quickly. Keep hold of the starter handle
when the cord pulls in after starting. If
the cord is pulled in too quickly the starter
handle can cause personal injury and/or
material damage.
6. Slowly move the choke lever to the closed
position when the engine warms up. If
the engine stops, start it again and let it
run for a while with the choke half-open
before slowly moving the choke lever to
the closed position (no choke).
7. Allow the engine to idle for a few minutes
before starting to work.
SNOW CLEARING
1. Adjust to the required ejection angle
by turning the handle clockwise or
anticlockwise, and adjust the length of
throw with the ejector guide.
2. Press in the auger lever on the left side of
the handle to start the auger (release to
stop clearing the snow).
3. Set the required speed with the lever to
adjust the speed.
4. Press in the drive handle on the right side
of the handle and steer the snowblower
along the path to be cleared. Release the
drive handle to stop.
WARNING!
• Never point the ejector at people or
animals, or at objects that can be
damaged by ejected objects.
• Check that no foreign objects can be
pulled into the snowblower and thrown
out – risk of personal injury and material
damage.
• Keep onlookers, especially children, and
pets at a safe distance. Note that the
noise from the snowblower can make it
difficult to hear if someone is
approaching.
