Basic Playback Functions
Preparation:
See pages 11–17 for connection diagrams.
Connect the DVD Recorder to the TV, turn on the TV power, and select the proper
input on your TV (e.g., “AV”).
If connecting to an audio system, please turn the audio system on and make sure
that it is connected correctly.
The first time you power on this DVD recorder, please follow the on-screen
instructions.
Please note that an LED indicator will show when the unit is in standby (off) mode.
Primary Settings
This DVD recorder can be set easily by using the
buttons. To
make selections, move the cursor to the desired item with the
navigation buttons and then press
ENTER
to confirm.
1. When the DVD recorder is turned on for the first time, the TV
screen shows the following message:
Press the
direction keys to
choose the menu language, then
press
ENTER
to confirm.
2. Selection
of input signal:
Use the
direction keys to
select the signal input source.
Press
ENTER
to confirm.
The DVD recorder auto-searches
the selected signal type to find channels. When
finished, the progress bar is complete.
3. Time and date:
Use the
direction keys to move the cursor. Use
the
direction keys to change to the correct
numbers. When you are finished setting the time
and date, highlight “Completed” and press
ENTER
to confirm.
