Check if the base station is connected correctly (see

Check if the microphone is switched on and if
muting is switched off (see page 24).

Check if you pressed the talk key, if the "telephone
receiver" symbol is shown on the display and if you
hear a dialing tone when you pick up.
Check if another telephone works on the telephone
socket or if your telephone works on a different
telephone socket (see page 11, and 16).
There is interference
with other
appliances.
Check if the base station is located directly next to
another electrical appliance (e.g. other telephone or
fax machine, television or microwave oven). Set up
the telephone in a different location.
