The Settings menu
Setting Explanation
Sounds
Startup
: Here you can select one of
three sounds as a start-up sound or
disable the function.
Shutter
: Here you can set the sound
for the shutter.
Beep volume
: Setting the volume for
signals.
Power Save
To save the battery charge, the came-
ra switches off automatically after the
selected period. Select:
1 min.

3 min.
or
5 min.
The energy-saving function is not
enabled in the following circum-
stances:
• while recording audio and video
clips;
• during playback of images, video
clips or audio recordings;
• while the camera is connected to
another device via the USB socket.
LCD
Save
When you set this function to ON,
the display is darkened after a short
period out of use.
Date &Time
Here you can select the date, time
and display format (see page 22).
Language
Here you can select the language for
the menu (see page 21).
