2. Remove the cover ( 1 ) of the hard drive slot by loosening the four screws ( 2 ), lift the
cover of the hard drive slot with a screwdriver and remove it.
3. Push the new hard drive into the holder with the contacts at the front. Pay attention
here that the lettering of the hard drive is pointing upwards.
4. Place the holder into the hard drive slot provided for it with the hard drive.
5. Screw the second hard drive firmly into the hard drive slot with the holder.
6. Screw the hard drive cover down again firmly.
Attention!
Never operate the laptop without the hard drive cover.
7. Start your notebook.
8. The second hard drive will be recognised and integrated by the operating system. A
brand-new hard drive will have to be set up by means of the Disk Management
section of the Computer Management program.
Note
The hardware of the notebook does not support a Raid function (related
association of individual hard drives).
