20. USB Port
The universal serial bus is a standard for connecting input devices, scanners and
other peripherals. The USB 3.1 ports are fully backwards compatible.
Due to the arrangement of the contacts, the plug will only fit into the
socket in one position (exception USB type C).
Ensure that the plug and the port fit together precisely in order to avoid
any damage to the contacts. Where possible, always connect your USB
devices to the same port that they were originally installed on.
Otherwise they will be assigned a new ID and the drivers will need to be
reinstalled.
21. Slot for a Flash Memory Expansion Module
Your notebook is equipped with a slot for a flash memory expansion module.
21.1. Safety Instructions
• Switch off your notebook before removing the cover.
• Do not leave your notebook unattended when the cover for
the flash memory expansion module has been removed so
that no objects can fall into the open slot and damage the
notebook as a result.
• After inserting the flash memory expansion module, ensure
that the cover has been properly fitted again.
