Checking the Calibration
Mount the bracket
The steel bracket can be clamped to a stable, level work
platform, using the two 200 mm G clamps. The height of the
platform will need to be such that the masses used do not
touch the floor. Depending on the mass hanger you are
using, this will typically be in the order of 720 mm.
Align the leading edge of the bracket with the worktop edge:
Important! Use a spirit level to ensure the platform is
completely level.
The bracket can also be bolted in place, using one of the three
sets of 10 × M8 cap head bolts, of length appropriate to the
worktop thickness. Use washers against both surfaces of the
worktop.
Great care must be taken to ensure that the mounting is
secure, the work platform cannot tilt or topple, and that the
masses are not allowed to fall. To avoid injury, add and
remove masses one at a time.
