Step 7 - Securing the Interlocked Guard
To prevent the test stand from toppling it is advised that the test stand and
guard assemblies are secured to a level workbench. The holes circled in the
image above should be used to secure the assembly. The holes are 6mm in
diameter and are countersunk. Dimensions for the holes can be found in
Section 10.
It is recommended that through bolts are used with retaining nuts on the underside of the
work surface; washers should be used between the work surface and the retaining nuts.
Step 8 – Connecting the Interlocked Guarding
Locate the external interlock guard loom and
feed it around to the OmniTest’s rear
connectors panel. Ensuring that the cable is
not trapped or close to any moving parts.
Remove the plastic covering from the end of
the cable and connect it to the OmniTest’s
rear
panel
