7.9  Network Setting 

A wired or wireless network connection is required to perform internet tasks. 
 

 

Using media apps, such as 

Weather

 and 

Free TV+

 

 

Accessing a computer to play media files stored on it 

 

Acquiring software updates 

 

Open the 

Settings

 

Network Setting 

menu. 

It  is  better  to  set  the  router  for  dynamic  IP  addresses  so  that  the  receiver  can 
automatically  connect  to  the  network.  Turn  on 

DHCP

  if  DHCP  is  enabled  on  the 

router. 
If  DHCP  is  not  available,  specify  the  network  details,  including  IP  address  and 
gateway. 
 

 

Hybrid Functions 

 
Press  the 

MENU

 button  to  open  the  Icon  screen.  It  require  an  internet  conn

ection  for  proper  operation. 
 
 

8.1  Web  Browser 

Use  the  Web  Browser  app  to  surf  the  Internet. 

 

Note 
Web  Browser  cannot  play  flash  video,  which  is  heavily  used  on  the  web. 

 

Pressing  the 

MENU

  button  displays  a  toolbar,  including  a  web  address  field  and 

several icons, at the bottom of the screen. 

 

  Viewing  a  Webpage 

Web Browser takes up the lower part of the screen so that users can watch live TV 
on the upper part.
