If the latch is activated, disengage the PTO drive immediately! Reversing the tractor
with the mower bed in contact with the ground will reset the break-away safety latch.
Shut down the tractor, remove the key and apply the parking brake. Then, check the
cause of the latch going off and the condition of all blades and mower bed.
8.6 Balance weights
A bracket is provided on the mower as standard, so balance weights can be added if
required. This is particularly important when using lighter tractors under 110 kW, with
smaller diameter cross shafts. The balance weights help to reduce the offset load and
prolong the life of the tractor linkage. Ensure that the mounting bracket is oriented
correctly with the 'T' on top.
WARNING: Break-away safety latch must not be jammed or tightened
It is very important that the break-away safety latch is never jammed or
tightened as it will no longer protect the mower as intended.
