PRESELECT HEADING MODE
Upon engagement of this mode after the heading
has been preselected on the indicator, the aircraft
will roll into a smooth turn to the preselected
heading and then roll out on this heading.
The turn will always be in the direction of the
shortest route to the preselected heading. The
bank angle will be maintained at 27±5 degrees
under all conditions.
NOTE: The fixed bank angle of 27 ±5 degrees may
cause the aircraft to buffet in an approach to stall if
the preselect heading mode is selected below
airspeeds ranging from 160 KIAS at 10,000 feet to
200 KIAS at 40,000 feet.
