16. Troubleshooting
By purchasing this system you have acquired a product that has been designed to the state of the art and is ope-
rationally reliable. Nevertheless, problems or errors may occur. For this reason, the following is a description of
how you can eliminate possible malfunctions yourself.
Always observe the safety instructions!
No display after the mains switch (1) was switched on:
•
The mains cable has not been plugged into the socket correctly.
•
The mains cable is not correctly inserted in the mains connection (27).
The CD is not being played back.
•
the CD has not been put into the tray properly.
•
The CD is dirty.
•
The inserted CD is not an audio/MP3 CD or a CD-R.
•
Switch to another CD manufacturer if your CD-R is not recognised or played back.
The CD skips during playback.
•
The CD is dirty.
•
The CD is scratched.
•
The CD has a pressing defect.
•
During playback, the device is subjected to vibrations.
•
Use a lower burn speed when writing your audio CD.
•
Change CD manufacturer should problems occur on playback of your CD-R.
The MP3 files are not played back.
•
Do not mix MP3 files with other files types (e.g. WMA files) on the CD.
•
Use a lower burn speed when writing your MP3-CD.
•
Burn your MP3-CD with the universal file standard ISO 9660.
The PITCH slider (15) does not work.
•
The PITCH function is deactivated.
No sound audible
•
A device in the playback chain is not turned on.
•
The wrong input was selected on the amplifier.
•
The volume control of the amplifier is set to “MINIMUM”.
•
The channel control, GAIN or MASTER LEVEL control of the connected mixing console is set to “MIN”.
A channel does not work.
•
An RCA cable was disconnected from the audio output of the player or the amplifier input.
•
The balance control was set wrongly on the amplifier.
•
The RCA connection cable is defective.
