5. Remove the Grommet from the A-pillar by using a flat
head screwdriver by following sequence (1) - (3).
6. Install the new supplied A-pillar tether clip into A-pillar trim
before proceeding.
1. Remove Hood latch cover by using a tape-wrapped flat
head screwdriver to detach the 2 tabs.
2. Remove 2 Bolts from the Fresh air duct.
Bolt tightening torque: 7.8 - 10.8 N•m (5.7 - 7.9 ft•lbf)

Ensure the new supplied tether clip is used in step 6.

7. HOOD SWITCH INSTALLATION

This procedure is not necessary for vehicles with Theft-deterrent System or with i-ELOOP system because the
hood switch is already installed.
