SL100K OPERATION
Many of the features of the SL100K are User Defined and
will have been determined by the Reseller and End User
together. Page 13 shows how your radio may have been
programmed.
POWER ON/VOLUME/POWER OFF
Turn the radio on by rotating the off/on/volume control
À
clockwise.
You will hear a click and (if enabled via dealer programming),
the radio's self-test alert tones. Increase the radio volume by
continuing the clockwise rotation.
To turn the radio off, rotate the control anti-clockwise until a
click is heard.
CHANNEL SELECT
To change radio channels, simply press and release the
buttons
s
or
t
until the desired channel is reached. Or,
to scroll through your programmed channels more quickly,
press and hold the
s
or
t
buttons. The channel numbers
will appear in the radio's LCD

(Located on top panel of
unit).
To lock the Channel Select buttons (to prevent accidental
channel change) press and hold Key 1
È
for 4 seconds.
"LO" will appear in the LCD display

. To unlock the
Channel Select buttons, press and hold Key 1 again for 4
seconds
KEYPAD
The Keypad can be locked, by pressing the * (star) and #
(hash) keys at the same time for approximately 1 second.
Repeat the procedure to unlock the keypad.
The following comments are intended to be used as a guide
only, due to the variable nature of the software and radio
features.
TRANSMIT
To Transmit a fixed Selcall address, Group Call, or an
Emergency Call: -
A short or long press on a Call Key, either Key 1

or Key 2

depending on set-up. Briefly the LED

on the top panel
illuminates RED. Conversation can begin by pressing the
PTT

button.
