TEST:
Test the thermocouple circuit voltage by measuring
the mV at the red and black connections at the
thermocouple interrupter block.
PROCEDURE: (a)
Connect “+” test probe on the red wire.
Connect “-” test probe to ground,
e.g. valve body or appliance chassis.
(b)
Repeat with the black wire.
Subtract black reading from red.
RESULT:
The result should be about a 4 – 6 mV drop.
