please read these instructions before using your lamp and keep it for later use. Please remember that this description applies for several different lamp-types. Product-specific details are given
with the article number in the assembly instructions. On this information sheet all symbols are explained; which ones apply to your lamp can be seen on the assembly instructions.
General Safety Instructions:

Please carefully read all included operating instructions and information!
•
Please follow all warnings indicated in the documentation and on the device!
•
Only use the luminaire when no technical defects are clear, be aware of dangers and risks!
•
For installation and use of the luminaires, national security regulations need to be followed!
•
Only install the luminaires on (suitable) ceilings indoor! Only use the provided fitting material and use suitable fixing material!
•
This luminaire is intended for rooms and working areas!
•
Only mount the luminaires in dry and closed spaces!
•
The use of the luminaires in potentially explosive atmospheres can lead to explosions and can result in death or serious injury.
Do not
use in potentially explosive atmospheres!
•
Installation, repair or demounting of the liminaire should only be executed by a
skilled electrician!
•
The luminaire must be connected to an earthed power supply!
•
Compare the available mains voltage with the mains voltage and frequency specified in the name plate and ensure they are identical!
•
Damaged luminaires may no longer be used.
•
Always disconnect the lamp from the mains before working on it!
•
The luminaire may not be altered or modified!
•
Please do not hang anything from or attach anything to the lamp!
•
Do not cover the luminaire!
•
Do not leave children unattended with the luminaire. It is not suitable for children.
•
Dispose of the packaging according to the local regulations of your region or country.
•
Disconnect the lamp from the mains and allow to cool down before cleaning and maintaining the lamp!
•
Only clean with a dry, soft and lint-free cloth!
•
If the external flexible cable or cord of this luminaire is damaged, it shall be exclusively replaced by the manufacturer or his service agent or a similar qualified person in order to avoid a
hazard.
•
The light source contained in this luminaire shall only be replaced by the manufacturer or his service agent or a similar qualified person.
•
For non-replaceable illuminants:
The illuminant in this light is not replaceable; when the illuminant reaches the end of its useful life, replace the entire light.
•
For illuminants not replaceable by the consumer:
The illuminant in this light must be replaced by the manufacturer or an authorised service technician or equally qualified person.
Electrical Protection Class II, no protective earthing conductor, as there is sufficient insulation between live and tangible parts.
Electrical Protection Class III, tangible extra low voltage.
Lamps, suitable for direct assembly on normal flammable assembly surfaces.
Minimum electric spacing to illuminated surfaces should not go below the given distance.
Beware of hot surface! The temperature of the lamp can exceed the stated level.
Self-protected bulb, can be used in lamps without extra protection cover.
The lamp should only be used inside in dry areas.
Each damaged protection cover should be exchanged immediately.
Fail-Safe-Safety Transformer: out of order after a short circuit.
Short Circuit Safety Transformer: in case of error, the entry circuit may be interrupted where necessary.
Independent devices for Lamps (e.g. Plug, ballast)
MAUL declares, that these lamps conform to the European Directives and to the product-specific directives.
Do not dispose of the lamp in the rubbish bin. This item contains parts that can be reused. Your local council can inform you where electrical devices are collected. Bulbs should not
be disposed of in the rubbish bin. Return defective bulbs to the sales person or dispose of them in the allocated collection points in your area.
This symbol denotes hand tools with the rating of risk group 2 (RG 2). Products with this symbol can cause damage to the eyes through extended, deliberate viewing. For this
reason, looking directly at the light of individual LEDs should be avoided!
