SETUP
INSTALL MOUNTING BRACKETS AND ATTACH TO CUT
STATION OR STAND
Using a T30 bit (included) and socket or screw driver,
unscrew four lower rail attachment bolts 1/4" (6mm). Slip
mounting brackets up over rail attachment bolts and
tighten securely. Fasten to chop-saw stand or cut station
using appropriate hardware such as 5/16" diameter bolts
or lag-screws and corresponding washers (not included).
When using a bench-type cut station, it is convenient to
fasten some dimensional lumber in place as ‘spacers’
before attaching your shear.
PRODUCT OPERATION
1.
To unlock, gently press handle down, slide
Cam-Lock (A) in and down.
2.
Place material (B) on table, and slide under blade to
desired cut position.
3.
Push handle (C) down until material is completely cut.

MAKING CUTS
The Magnum Edge Siding Shear is operated manually. The two-part extendable handle is grasped by the operator and
pushed down to make a cut. A SIDING BLADE IS PRE-INSTALLED IN THIS SHEAR, DO NOT USE IT TO CUT HARDWOOD.

TIP: DOUBLE CUTTING
Most materials shear very well with just one cut. However, some brands may require cutting twice to produce a better cut.
Simply make your first cut 1/8" to 1/4" (3 to 6mm) longer than your mark, then go back and make your second cut on your
mark. This is very useful to create a cleaner cut when a trim molding or transition cannot be used to cover your cut end.
