>

 button.

If you desire to connect this terminal to the digital
output of a CD player, DVD player, SAT tuner or
etc… . select  “ COAXIAL “.

SYSTEM SETUP 2/2 (ASSIGNABLE DIGITAL INPUT)

Six digital inputs can be assigned as the desired source.
Use this menu to set the SR-14mk

II

 for connected equipment and

type of connection.

Example:

When the digital output of a DVD player is connected to Digital 4
(input jack) of the SR-14mk

II

and an AC-3 RF output and optical

digital output from a LD player are connected to AC-3 RF(Dig.6) and
Dig.1.

(Move the cursor  with

 or

Notes

• The TUNER and AUX are fixed to the analog input, and cannot

be selected for any digital input.
The RF input is available for LD , and can be linked with Digital
1,2,3 ,4 or 5.
If the RF input is linked with any Digital input, once the RF signal
is not supplied, the SR-14mk

II

will switch from the RF input to the

digital input automatically.

• If you connect an LD player, you should connect not only the RF

output (if it has one) but also the Digital output.
Laser Discs which are not encoded with Dolby Digital will then
send the sound through the digital output (PCM audio). If the
disc you are playing is old and doesn’t have a digital soundtrack,
you must connect the L/R analog outputs on the laser disc player
to the laser disc analog inputs on the SR-14mk

II

.

• When a DTS-LD or DTS-CD is playing, this setup is not available.

This is to avoid noise being generated from the analog input.
In this case, the DTS audio must be played through the player’s
digital output to the digital input on the SR-14mk

II

. This is

because the DTS soundtracks replace the standard PCM
soundtracks on DTS discs.

• The SR-14mk

II

does not switch from digital input to analog input

or vice versa automatically.
In case both digital and analog inputs are connected to the SR-
14mk

II

,if you desire to switch to analog input temporarily, you

can do so by pressing the

A/D

button.

• If you select “Digital-6: COAXIAL” in Setup 1/2.  RF is not

available in this page.
