Turn the vacuum control to the position . The device is now switched off.

Hygiene and cleaning
4.1
Cleaning and servicing the breast pump
•
When the pump is not in use or when it is cleaned, disconnect it from mains supply.
In case of problems, also disconnect the pump immediately by all means.
•
Do not use aggressive detergents (solvents, etc.) to clean the casing but a cloth
damped with a light soap sud. Wipe over the parts with a dry cloth. Make sure that
no liquid enters the device.
•
For the disinfection of the casing, you can use alcohol-based disinfecting agents.
Do not rinse the pump!
4.2
Cleaning and servicing the suction kit
•
For cleaning the suction kit, refer to the operating instructions of the respective
suction kit.
•
Prior to expressing milk, clean all parts of the kit which come into direct contact
with breast milk.
•
To disinfect the parts for private use we recommend to boil the parts in a pot (no
pressure cooker) for at least 15 minutes. You can also use a steriliser. Do not use
chemical disinfection baths.
Prior to assembling the suction kit, make sure that the diaphragm is
completely dry and undamaged (no cracks, holes, etc.).

•
Make sure that the supplied voltage matches the voltage stated on the power unit
or is within the limits.
•
Do not operate the

in operating rooms or in rooms with explo-
sion risk.
•
The breast pump is not designed to be used outdoors or during transportation.
•
The breast pump is intended for use at home.
•
Operate the
mamivac
®
LACTIVE
breast pump on a flat and stable surface.
•
Operate and store the
mamivac
®
LACTIVE
breast pump in dry rooms only.
•
In case of malfunctions, please contact the manufacturer or your sales representative.
•
If you think a safe operation is no longer ensured, e.g. in case of damaged insula-
tion of the power cord or damaged cord between the power unit and the device,
discontinue the operation of the device immediately (unplug power cord from wall
outlet) and secure it against putting into operation again. Unplugging is the only
means to safely disconnect the device from the public power supply.
•
Any modifications/manipulations of the device or its accessories, or a combination
with other devices and/or systems or components make a safe use impossible and
are therefore strictly forbidden.
