[3] -1. Replacing Armature

1. Separate handle cover from motor housing, and then remove brush holders together with carbon brushes. (Fig. 1)
2. After removing three M4x14 pan head screws, turn gear housing a little bit. And by striking the edge of motor housing
with plastic hammer, gear housing can be separated from motor housing. In this step, armature is still assembled to
gear housing. (Fig. 1)
3. Armature can be removed from inner housing by striking inner housing with plastic hammer. Remove rubber ring 19
in this step. (Fig. 2)
4. Ball bearing 608ZZ (drive end) and 607ZZ (commutator end) can be removed with arbor press as illustrated in Fig. 3.
Note: These ball bearings cannot be removed using Bearing extractor (No. 1R269) because there is no center hole
on each end surface of the armature shaft.
Note: Armature can be replaced without disassembling gear housing section.
