18. Install the left front base refractory as shown in Figure
15, ensuring that the front lip is flush with the firebox.

16. Install the right base refractory by setting the left edge
on the firebox bottom, pulling tight to the grate and drop
-
ping the right side down, ensuring that the front lip of
the part is flush with the firebox edge. See Figure 13
and 17.

19. Figure 16 shows the outer base refractory parts
properly installed flush with firebox edge and tight to
glass panels.

17. Place the left rear base refractory as shown in Figure
14. Place the right edge of the part on the firebox bot
-
tom, pulling it tight to the grate leg. Match the cut-out
with the grate leg and drop the left side of the part into
place.
20. Install the center base refractory with seams aligned as
shown in Figure 17. Be sure that the refractory is flush
with the firebox lip.

* Dotted boxes on Figures 13, 16 and 18 show the
correct placement of refractory. Refractory parts must
be flush with bases, spacers and panels.
