Step 5.
Remove the UV-C Bulbs
Carefully remove the two UV-C bulbs from the Qwik
Pure
TripleGuard
™ unit by sliding
them out the end of the unit, through the clearance holes. Dispose of these bulbs in the
same manner as any other fluorescent bulb. These bulbs contain mercury and must be
disposed of properly.
Step 6.
Clean the PCO surfaces
Use a clean damp cloth to clean dust and debris from all surfaces of the Qwik
Pure
TripleGuard
™ unit, including the photocatalytic oxidation surfaces.
Step 7.
Install new UV-C bulbs
Carefully insert two new Qwik
Pure
TripleGuard
™ UV-C bulbs into the unit by sliding
them in through the end of the unit, through the clearance holes. Ensure the bulbs are
properly seated into the bulb sockets. Only use Qwik
Pure
TripleGuard
™ UV-C bulbs
(part number QT2732), because they contain a unique anti-ozone coating and the power
supply has been specially designed to soft-start these bulbs for increased life. Using the
wrong bulbs damages the power electronics, the bulbs, and system performance.
Step 8.
Reinstall the
Qwik
Pure
TripleGuard
™
Air Purifier
If the Qwik
Pure TripleGuard
™ Air Purifier was mounted on a metal surface, use the
existing self-tapping screws to secure the unit directly to the sheet metal surface.
If the Qwik
Pure TripleGuard
™ Air Purifier was mounted on a duct board surface, insert
the unit into the duct, using the mounting studs to locate and hold the unit. Secure
with the wing nuts.
Step 9.
Replace the AC/PP purifier
Always use a fresh new AC/PP purifier (part number QT2734) after replacing UV-C
bulbs. Follow the instructions for replacing the AC/PP purifier.
Step 10.
Reconnect power source and verify operation
Replace the power plug into the electronics control module, and turn power back on.
Verify the switch on the electronics control module is on.
The
green LED
is illuminated when the unit has proper power, and the two
orange LED
s
are illuminated when both UV-C bulbs are operating properly. If the Orange LEDs are
not illuminated, recheck that the bulbs are properly seated in the sockets

Step 11.

Complete and attach the Next Service Date sticker on the access cover, with a date
approximately 12 months from today’s date for the next UV-C bulb change and the
updated date for the AC/PP purifier change.
