3.1 Zero adjustment
The accuracy of inductive probes is maxi-
mum around their zero point. Thus the
probe should always be fixed mechanically
such that the probe signal is about zero.
In addition, the carrier frequency amplifier
may be adjusted/tuned to this zero point.
The zero setter features a setting range of
approx. ±100 µm irregardless of the mea-
suring range.
The measuring range can be changed by
way of relocating jumpers (s. section 3.3).
1. Mechanically fix the probe such that the probe
signal is about zero.
2.
Remove the protective cap from the zero set-
ter and keep it in a safe place.
3.
Set the output voltage at the 1901/TA to zero
within a range of max. ±10 µm using the zero
setter (3, Abb. 1).
This requires a small screw driver.
4.
Screw the protective cap onto the zero setter
again.
