In fact, by means of the Hybrid Pro kit,
the inner and outer pneumatic circuit of
the station can be thoroughly cleaned
every time the oil to be injected into the
A/C system is changed. Cleaning is
required as during normal use of the
recharge station the inner pneumatic
circuit and the external hoses do come in
contact with the vehicle compressor oil
and are therefore subject to
contamination from oil residues.
For this reason, it is utterly important that
the Hybrid function is executed when
switching from one oil type to another,
typically from PAG to POE oil.
This function, in order to be performed,
requires connecting the HP quick coupler
to the LP quick coupler of the charge
hoses, through a specific adapter
included in the KIT.
Once the two couplers are connected
together, just follow the automatic
cleaning procedure.
10 Execution of the
procedure
The Hybrid cleaning procedure can be
executed from:
1. Automatic cycles or Manual
cycles. If an oil type different
from the one used for the
previous service is selected
when setting the recharge
parameters, at the START the
equipment will require the
execution of the internal cleaning
function called “Hybrid function”.
2. Setup menu, by selecting
“Hybrid function”.
The station requires the following steps
(in sequence):
- Connect the HP quick coupler
and the LP quick coupler using
the HP-LP adapter and open the
couplers
- Remove the new oil container
used for the previous services
and insert the container with the
new oil. During the cleaning
procedure, few grams of the new
oil will be used to prepare the
station for its use.
- Confirm the procedure start and
wait until it is completed. It will
take about 5 minutes
- Warnings
- The procedure requires at least
500g of refrigerant in the vessel.
- Mark the oils containers
unambiguously to avoid errors.
- Keep the new oil containers
closed to avoid any contact with
the air.
