Chain
Lubricate when required with commercial chain lubricant
(qty: as needed).
Replacing shear bolts for the
fan and auger:
Shear bolts are to be considered a preventive measure and
not an assured protection. Operator vigilance is required.
Thoroughly inspect the areas where the snowblower is to
be used and remove all foreign objects.
To avoid damage to the snowblower:
Use only original shear bolts.
#106984 (bag of 10) (item 1) for PTO drive shaft.
#110180 (bag of 10) (item 2) for the auger.
The use of any other shear bolt will not ensure any
protection and may void the warranty.
A.
Unscrew the guard and rotate it.
B.
Replace the desired shear bolt.
C.
Replace the guard.
Chain adjustment:
Unscrew the adjustment bolt (item 1) sufficiently (to be able
to slide the sprocket into the groove), lower the sprocket to
add tension to the chain and raise it to remove tension.
NOTE:
It is important that the chain is adjusted as shown
to maximize its life.
Chain replacement:
A.
Remove the tension from the chain using the
adjustment bolt.
B.
Remove the used chain and replace it with a new
one.
C.
Adjust the chain to the correct tension as mentioned
in section '' CHAIN ADJUSTMENT ''.
