Reason

Solution

Returned data indicates 

COMMAND ERROR.

Command does not match 

the unit’s programmed set of 

instructions.

Use correct command and 

format.

Mechanical power reads much 

higher or lower than expected.

Torque units or scale factor is 

incorrect.

Set torque input units and 

scale factor to match the 

specifications of torque 

transducer.

No RS-232 communication.

Setup error and/or hardware 

fault.

Check:

•  Baud rate of Torque 

Transducer Display

•  Pinout of serial cable

•  Cable attachment to Torque 

Display and serial interface
