4.3 SECURITY
The security features of the EC1000 chassis include a cylindrical key lock on the top cover,
electronic locks for the top cover and a card access door, along with two secure mounting points
for the chassis (figures 1.2 and 4.1). To gain access to the inside of the EC1000 the operator will
need to use the provided keys unless access is controlled remotely through the electronic locks.
To secure the chassis to a table top surface with the inner anchor point, open the cover and locate
the anchor hole (approximately
⅜
inch diameter hole) in the lower chassis. The hole is on the
right side of the machine and visible through the access opening on the upper chassis. Once this
hole has been located a lag bolt or some other anchor device can be placed through the hole and
attached to the desktop to secure the chassis (refer to fig. 1.4 for location).
