MAGNUM INDUSTRIAL MI-91350 DELUXE 14” WOOD BAND SAW
CHANGING SPEED SETTINGS
The MI-91350 has two speed settings: 1,800 LFM (low) and
3,000 LFM (high).
• Low speed is ideal for cutting soft woods over 4" in height
or hardwoods over 2" in height.
• High speed is best for cutting soft woods under 4" in
height or hardwoods under 2" in height.
If wood starts to burn at high speed, stop and change to
the lower speed setting.
To change the speed of your band saw, complete the following
steps:
1. Turn off power and disconnect the saw from the power
source.
2. Open the lower wheel cover door.
3. Locate the drive belt
RATCHET LEVER (A)
at the back
of the saw just above the motor. Pull out the
RATCHET
LEVER (A)
to release it. See Figure 44. Once you release
the lever, the bolt can be turned clockwise or counter-
clockwise. An
ORANGE BUTTON (B)
appears when the
RATCHET LEVER (A)
is released. See Figure 45.
To release tension on the drive belt, turn the bolt a few times
counterclockwise and pivot the motor to the left by pulling up
on the
CAPACITOR COVER (C)
. See Figure 46. This loosens the
belt enough to move it between pulley sets.
4. To set the band saw to low speed (1,800 LFM), place the
belt on the front set of pulleys. See Figure 47.
5. To set the band saw to the high speed (3,000 LFM) place
the belt on the rear set of pulleys. See Figure 48.
6. Once the belt is in position, push down firmly on the motor
CAPACITOR COVER (C)
to tighten the belt, then turn the
RATCHET LEVER (A)
clockwise to secure the motor.
