Cooking foods
• To cook more evenly and faster, cut raw meat in small, thin slices.
Always cook raw meats on the grill plate
or in the fondue pot.
• Turn meat, fish, seafood and vegetables frequently when cooking. Cook meat thoroughly.
• Marinate meat and vegetables before grilling them on the grill plate. Pay close attention when grilling, as
marinated foods brown more quickly.
• WARNING!
Do not cook raw meats in the raclette pans. Avoid cross contaminations from different types
of food.
• WARNING! Splash danger.
Use a paper towel to remove moisture off the meat, vegetables or other
foods before putting the foods on the grill or in the fat/oil of the fondue pot.
• WARNING! Explosion danger.
Use fresh, clean fat or oil that is suitable for fondue. Old, worn out or
unsuitable fat / oil can ignite at low temperatures.
If the fat or oil starts to burn, NEVER remove the fondue
pot. NEVER extinguish the fat or oil in the fondue pan with water, because of an explosion hazard.
Extinguish the fire with a matching pan lid or a fire blanket. Even if the flames are no longer visible, do
not remove the lid or blanket from the fondue pot until it has cooled down completely. When removing
the lid or blanket while the fondue pot is still hot, the fat / oil in the fondue pot may start to burn again.
• WARNING! Danger to life from burning.
Do not leave children unattended with the fondue pot, as
improper use can cause it to fall over and cause severe burns from the hot fat, oil, stock or cheese.
• CAUTION!
Prevent burns. Do not touch the metal of the fondue forks while fonduing. Hold the
fondue forks by the handle.
• CAUTION!
Prevent burns. Do not touch the grill plate, fondue pot and fondue fork holder; these
are very hot. When removing, use a heatproof stand or coaster and kitchen gloves.
• Do not use metal items to remove dirt or grease from the grill plate, raclette pans or fondue pot. This prevents
the non-stick coating from being damaged. Use a damp cloth or paper to remove dirt or grease from the grill
plate, raclette pans or fondue pot.
