V-Axis Cannot Be Adjusted Manually
V-axis is assembled together with Y-axis. If Y-axis is moved, V-axis will be moved with
it. V-axis cannot be adjusted on its own.
X-Axis Cannot Be Adjusted Manually
X-axis cannot be manually adjusted because it acts as a base that supports the whole
mechanism.
X-Axis
━ X-Home Sensor Failure
Checking encoder
Check X-axis movement. Switch the machine off, push and pull the axis. It should
move smoothly. If the movement is not smooth check rails and sliders. If there is
anything obstructing axis movement, remove it, clean and lubricate the rails.
Do "X axis JOG test", if the difference between encoder value and pulse is small, then
check the motor and encoder; if the difference between encoder value and pulse is
big, then it is the signal propagation problem.
Encoder can have 2 types of problem:
1. Overpulse
2. No change in encoder value
Overpulse:
Check X-Motor cable and sensor line.
Turn the sensor ON and OFF and check the following:
Response on PLC: X12 should be blinking
Open I/O and check X home sensor response.
Open jog test and compare encoder value with pulse, they should be the same.
No change in encoder value:
Check X-axis movement
Check if the RED LED inside encoder cap in ON. If it is not, the encoder cap has to be
replaced.
